May we suggest one of our Acqualina Vineyards picks for your next gathering or an intimate evening:

A 2013 Vintage Tignanello – This wine is intensely ruby red in color with purple highlights and shows an intense nose of ripe red fruit in addition to notes of vanilla, chocolate, and leather imparted from the oak. Spicy and balsamic sensations give additional complexity in the layers of aromatics.

A 2013 Vintage Cervaro della Sala – Thanks to the cool growing season, the 2013 Cervaro della Sala is characterized by a notable vigor and crispness while nonetheless maintaining a Mediterranean character. Its nose shows notes of chamomile, honey, and flint. The palate is mineral in character with buttery vanilla notes which blend elegantly with flavors of tropical and citrus fruit.

A 2011 Vintage Villa Antinori Chianti Classico – The 2011 Villa Rosso Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is an intense ruby red color and features equally intense aromas of red fruit, raspberries and blueberries, followed by hints of oak and spices, particularly cloves. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and rooted in the terroir of the area with supple tannins. The finish is fruity with expressive and lingering oak notes.

A 2014 Guado al Tasso Scalabrone Bolgheri Rosato – Brilliant peony pink in color, this wine shows intense, rich aromas of aromatic fruit notes of cherry and raspberry as well as floral notes. The palate is fresh, balanced, and fruity with a lingering finish.

A 2014 Vintage Antica Chardonnay – The 2014 Chardonnay has alluring aromas of fresh nectarine, white peach and pear, providing a lot of fruit intensity and richness. The wine is medium-bodied in texture with crisp, zesty acidity providing length while enhancing the wine’s purity and freshness on the palate.

A 2015 Santa Cristina Pinot Grigio  – Made from Italy’s most popular white varietal, this wine is extremely versatile and full and comes from the Venezie IGT region, renowned for growing world-class Pinot Grigio. Yellow in color, the wine shows delicate aromas of orange flowers, bananas and tropical fruit. On the palate, the flavors are savory, refreshing and contain notes that recall the fruit first felt on the nose.

Further enhancing this lively atmosphere was famed chef, Chef Michael Mazza, of Il Mulino New York, who was busy preparing homemade pizzas. An irresistible spread of artisanal cheeses, freshly baked breads, and antipasti paired perfectly with the wine while a jazz quartet set the tone for an animated afternoon.
